My areas of expertise include quantitative and domain modeling, systems architecture, and backend development. I thrive in cultures that value open dialogue and encourage individual autonomy. I'm proud of my work ethic, self-accountability, and ability to deliver results under critical deadlines, balancing short and long-term business goals.
I worked from 2007 to 2013 architecting, developing, and managing an algorithmic trading system at a proprietary trading firm in New York.
In 2013 my partner and I became nomadic, spending part of the year working from NYC and the other part traveling and working internationally. Highlights include Northern Scotland on foot, Southeast Asia by motorbike, and Morocco by grand taxi.
In 2016 we settled down in the San Francisco Bay Area; I currently work as a Software Engineer on the Anti-discrimination team at Airbnb.
